On the 7th, 8th, and 9th July at 8pm until 1am, Marsovin will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their Wine Festival at Hastings gardens in Valletta.
The Marsovin Summer Wine festival is set to be a wine festival with a difference.
The location alone lends itself perfectly to a walk through garden wine festival whilst enjoying the majestic views from the Valletta bastions, overlooking the Yacht Marina and Sliema harbour. The event plans to have a highly cultural and entertaining concept, by presenting a myriad of professional musicians performing daily, whilst offering a vast selection of over 30 certified D.O.K. and I.Ġ.T. quality wines from grapes grown around Malta and Gozo. All of these wines can be enjoyed by visiting the different wine bars, carefully spread around Hastings Gardens. The event has always adopted a token system in exchange for wine, this encourages patrons to taste and enjoy the large variety of quality wines made available, without over consuming.
A fusion of good wine, food & music
The artists in this year’s line-up include Malta & Gozo’s leading bands: Airport Impressions & The Travellers, two of the most successful bands to have emerged locally in recent years; Vinyl Paradise, a cutting edge blues band; Swing Nuages, a fun-loving gypsy swing and manouche jazz band; The Busker, a band blending 1960s pop/rock with folk/rock, Novel, a band covering multi-genre songs: rock band, Jack’s Fusion; and Analise Cassar & Band who will be singing along to some popular tunes.
We shall be including a dedicated Wine Educational Area, which will offer fun and interactive ways to learn about wine. It will feature a blind tasting of a selection of wines, followed by a detailed explanation of each one, and the opportunity to walk away with a prize. Kindly email email@example.com to book your place.
Marsovin has engaged various restaurants and caterers to showcase their cuisine, offering a small but enticing selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. Renowned Asian fusion restaurant - TemptAsian will be manning a sushi bar; Bottegin Palazzo Xara will be setting up for some delicious fresh pasta dishes; Eat Me I’m Famous will be offering freshly made pizza on site; Brass&Knuckle will be present with premium cold cuts & cheese; Fat Louie’s will be bringing some of their signature dishes; and last but not least The Pulled Meat Company will be preparing an array of mouthwatering Maltese dishes.
How does it work?
All those attending the wine festival have the opportunity to purchase a €16 token package fee, which includes a premium festival wine glass to take home and wine tokens to be exchanged at all wine bars in the form of a taster, by the glass or by the bottle. Alternatively for those who are not wine drinkers but still want to mingle around and enjoy the live entertainment, non-alcoholic refreshments will also be available for sale.
So indulge your senses and be sure not to miss The Marsovin Summer Festival 2017.
