Marsovin and the Cassar family own five estates in Malta and Gozo covering a total of 20 hectares of land spread around Malta and Gozo in Marsaxlokk, Wardija, Ghajn Rihana and Ramla il-Hamra; all of which produce single vineyard estate wines.
Marsovin's philosophy of producing a selection of single vineyard wines is unique in Malta. This philosophy has offered an essential contribution to the assertion in Malta of the 'Cru'; a vineyard dedicated to the production of grapes for a particular wine, because of its importance and peculiar characteristics. Marsovin is the only winery to produce its estate wine from specifically selected vineyards in Malta and Gozo. Each estate was specifically selected for the growth of specific grape varieties, matching the soil type, prevailing wind direction, sun exposure to the characteristics of the grape variety and style of wine we wish to produce.
The estates are managed by Marsovin's expert Viticulturist and his team who monitor the progress of each and every estate on a day to day basis.
