Appearance: Moderate intensity with a medium/deep ruby core with a pale ruby rim and long tinted legs.
Nose: Medium intense aromas of a sweet spice nature (cinnamon, nutmeg) with underlying herbal (mint), vanilla, smoky and back fruit aromas.
Palate: The wine has a medium body and medium levels of acidity with velvety tannins. Pronounced spiciness of cinnamon and nutmeg, black fruit aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants with an earthy mineral finish.
Conclusion: This wine is still immature, it can be drunk now but needs to be decanted for at least 1.5 hours before consumption, in order to really open up the wine’s complex character. Still evolving, keep for a further 7-10 years.
